NEWS 07/06: it is possible to upgrade the categories “Early – Full Virtual” and “Early – Student/Retiree Virtual” to “Late – Full In-person” and “Late – Student/Retiree In-person” respectively. To this end, go back to the registration website and purchase either the items “Top-up Full Virtual to Full In-person” for $470 or “Top-up Student Virtual to Student In-person” for $290 (depending on your registration status). This will make the total cost of registration equal to a late in-person registration. Please note that no other change of category is possible.
Registration for the conference and workshops is open. Please read the information about the registration in this page. For further information contact the conference Registration Chair, prof. Ioannis Lestas.
IMPORTANT: Single and double rooms are available from Imperial College’s Summer Accommodation. For more information see here.
All who wish to attend the conference, either physically or virtually, must register and pay the registration fees via the conference registration page.
Registration fees for physical and virtual participation will differ. The virtual partecipation fee will include the cost of the virtual conference platform and publication costs. The physical participation fee will also include the costs of the physical spaces and the social program. The details of the virtual and physical fees are provided below. The registration opens on March 10, 2022.
Each accepted paper should be covered by the registration of one of the paper co-authors. The registration fee must be paid within the deadline for final upload of accepted papers (31st of March). Papers for which none of the authors is registered will not be included in the conference program.
Acceptance of your paper is made under the understanding that at least one author will register for the conference and deliver a presentation of the paper. In-person registered authors will present in-person and will also provide a recording of the presentation. Virtual registered authors will only provide a recording of the presentation. The ECC22 Organising Committee believes that the best way to experience and participate to the conference is in presence, and they expect that authors will present their paper in person. However, we understand that this may not be possible for all, hence a virtual option is available.
For all other participants (i.e. those without paper), it is suggested to complete the registration within the deadline April 6, 2022 (Early Bird).

Each accepted paper or extended abstract should be covered by the registration of one of the paper co-authors. The corresponding registration fee must be paid within the deadline of the final upload of the accepted paper. Accepted papers which are not associated to a registration of one of the co-authors will neither be included in the conference program nor in the proceedings.
Each full registration allows to upload 2 final papers maximum. Each student registration allows to upload up to 1 final paper. The registrant must be an author of all the papers associated to their registration.
Paper uploads in addition to those included with each registration are possible at an extra cost of 240 USD per paper. Each extra upload has to fulfill all requirements of a regular upload. Important: To pay for extra pages you first need to go to your paper submission page, complete the final submission information including number of pages in your manuscript, then return to registration – the excess page charge will appear automatically in your cart.
The final paper length is limited to 6 pages. A maximum of up to 2 extra pages (for a maximum length of 8 pages per paper) is allowed. Extra pages require the payment of over-length page fees at a cost of 120 USD for each extra page.
Extra banquet tickets can be requested at an extra cost TBD/person via the online registration system or onsite. Extra banquet tickets are subject to availability.
Workshops will be held in a hybrid format, both at the conference venue and online (in live streaming), on the 12th of July 2022, the day before the official opening of the conference. The list of confirmed workshops is available at the dedicated page. Advanced registration for pre-conference workshops can be done online via the conference registration system.
Main conference registration is a prerequisite for registering at an ECC workshop.
Important: please note that you can register for only 1 workshop because all workshops take place simultaneously. Recordings of workshops will not normally be made.
The cost of attending a pre-conference workshop is listed below.

Full In-person | ✔ | 120$ |

As an author or co-author, an official letter-of-acceptance that confirms that your paper has been accepted and reaffirms the expectation that you will attend the Conference is available for download. The letter can be used for visa and travel support applications.
The download will be available from PaperCept after the reviewing process has been completed.
The procedure for obtaining your acceptance letter is as follows:
Letters confirming registration without an accepted paper may be issued by the conference organizers on an individual basis, after a participant has registered for the conference. Please contact us if you require a confirmation letter.
We regret that we are unable to provide customized letters. Letters of invitation will not be supplied for persons who are not registered to the conference.
After uploading a final paper no refund of the corresponding registration fee is possible.
Cancellation and refund of in-person registration fees that do not correspond to final paper uploads are possible. Requests must be made via email at ecc22@euca-ecc.org with the subject “Cancellation ECC22 NAME SURNAME” until May 4, 2022. No refunds will be made after this date.
Cancellations are subject to an administrative fee 100$. Because of this administrative fee, cancellation of “Virtual no paper” and “Student – Virtual no paper” categories are not possible.
Transferring a registration is possible. A student can transfer her/his registration only to another student. Please contact the secretariat via email at ecc22@euca-ecc.org for further information.
Force Majeure
Unexpected cancellation of the conference. The organising commitee reserves itself the right to cancel without notice or compensation ECC22 in the event of force majeure cases (for example, but not limited to acts of nature such as fire, earthquake, hurricane, flood or terrorist attacks). In such cases, the organising commitee is freed of all responsibility.
Limitation of liability. In the event of it being impossible to carry out the ECC22 for force majeure cases, so long as this arises from a cause not attributable to the organisers, the organisers shall only be obliged to reimburse the payments received subject to deduction of any costs it has incurred in preparing the event. This liability only extends to the payments made directly to the ECC22 and not to payments made by the attendees to the hotel or airlines.
